Brawne House Fire

At about 13:30 on Friday 11th June, a fire broke out in a flat on the 10th Floor of Brawne House. LFB responded quickly and over 70 firefighters attended and brought the fire under control. The response by LFB, paramedic teams & the councils emergency response team was excellent, & the TRA community hall acted as a temporary refuge for all the displaced residents.

Thankfully, there were no fatalities, however 3 people were treated for smoke inhalation. The 10th floor flat was completely gutted by the fire, and a number of flats below were affected by water damage. Brawne House was opened by approx 5:00pm & most residents allowed return to their homes. A few residents had to be  relocated to temporary accommodation by Southwark Council.
