The first of the monthly community gardening workdays took place on Saturday 12th April, and the team weeded, tidied, & cleared the 7 planters running from Cornish to Bateman, and weeded the planting outside Cornish House.
Many thanks to the community gardening plot-holders Tom, Mihaela, Sandra, Mindy, Paula, Olga, Farrah, Giovanni, as well as residents Carol, & Lydia for all their help and the sterling work that they did helping maintain the communal planting beds. Jessica was working and sent her apologies, but she had tidied up the beds running alongside the path from Molesworth to Cruden during the week.

The beds are now pristine and ready for some new spring planting. All seven beds were topped up with fresh compost, as pictured below:
Thanks to Paula for treating everybody to some pizzas in the Kennington Park Cafe afterwards.
