Housing Revenue Account 2022/23 Budget Consultation

Every year Southwark Council consults residents on the headline elements of its proposed Housing Revenue Account (HRA) budget for the forthcoming year.  This year the budget includes proposals for rises in dwelling rents, tenant service charges, sheltered housing service charges, garage charges and charges for heating and hot water.  There are also proposals to make some further savings in expenditure on landlord services and a list of unavoidable additional commitments, principally around government requirements with regard to the Fire Safety Act 2021 and the Building Safety Bill currently going through Parliament.  The cabinet will consider your responses to this consultation in mid-January 2022 before taking any final decisions. I attach a copy of the cabinet report.
