Residents Xmas Party

We held the residents Xmas party on Saturday 9th December. We had 121 registered visitors along with 58 walk-ins on the day. We had some great food, made by Samar, a lady who lives in Cornish House. We were serving mulled wine for Santa, & mince pies for his reindeer. Many thanks to Siobhan, Babs, & Yulian who ran everything in the kitchen, and kept the drinks & mulled wine flowing!

Entertainment was provided by Mia, a talented balloon modeller & Professor Palmerhoff, a very skilled magician who amazed everyone with close-up magic tricks.

To the children’s great delight, at about 5:00pm we heard some noise on the roof, and lo & behold, Santa arrived down the stairs with a sack of presents! All the kids got a present from Santa. We also had raffles & prizes for everybody who got free raffle tickets by registering in advance for the event.

Paula then led a sing-along of Xmas songs with the kids on the stage. Big thanks to all of our committee especially Silviya & Giovanni, who helped with the planning, dressing & decorating the hall, and making the hall look amazing! It really looked like a winter wonderland with all the Xmas lights!
